Hamas adopts Nazi salute

In 1933, Hitler was elected to office. He vowed to eradicate the Jews and eventually used the instruments of the State to conduct an orchestrated policy of genocide against the Jews of Europe. In 2006, extremist pockets within Palestine voted in a Hamas government. The most popular book read by members of Hamas is "Mein Kampf". The leadership of Hamas has - like their Nazi forebears - sworn to exterminate the Jews.

Hamas has been very clear about its support for terrorism. From its charter calling for the global murder of Jews to the recent pronouncements of Hamas' elected leaders, there has been no change in its worldview. In fact, Hamas' recent appointment of an arch terrorist leader to head a special new PA military force shows quite clearly Hamas' intentions.

Despite this, various sections of the UK media have been trying to accomodate their hatred of Israel with a soft line towards the neo-Nazi organisation known as Hamas. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has indicated that Hamas does not have to tone down its antisemitic rhetoric, as long as it maintains a dialogue. That's alright then...

Appalling, but no real a surprise. You'd hope that religious fanatics might change when confronted with the realities of government. This lot belongs with the crazed Ahmadinajad. Is the Middle East heading for Armageddon?

This is not Islam and nothing to do with it. The Holy Qur'an does not support murder, or the idolising of Hitler.

Of course the Qur'an supports murder, it's just that you don't call it that. Killing women and children is murder, whether they are Jewish or not. There is no justification for this kind of targeting. It as an affront to morality.

You should not speak of those things you are so evidently ignorant of. The Holy Qur'an is a book of moral harmony and social peace. There is no justification of murder anywhere. I have read it many times, in the original Arabic, and I doubt you have read it at all, even in English. You are simply armed with the superficial prejudices of the ignorant Western media. There is no rational discussion to be had with those who defame Islam.

Why is your constant tone as though we are inferior to you? Do you subscribe to the belief that unbelievers are less than pigs?

Is there a rational discussion to be had about Islam with any muslim? It seems impossible for them to be objective, and I rather agree with Boris Johnson on the matter.

Well so does the bible and torah.
At God's instructions, the Israelites "utterly destroyed the men, women, and the little ones" leaving "none to remain." 2:33-36
All nations shall be terrorized by the followers of Yahweh. 2:25
so i'm guessing you will agree with me that islam isn't the 'the most viciously sectarian of all religions'as Boris Johnson stated.

In January 2006, Hamas was democratically elected by the people of Palestine, gaining 74 of 132 seats in the Palestinian legislative election and is now the majority party of the Palestinian Legislative Council.
The Hamas-led Palestinian government is willing to urge militants to renew a ceasefire if Israel halts its attacks on Gaza. Despite Israel defying more than 70 UN resolutions, Palestine is shown to be more so at fault than Israel, who are portrayed as victims. Likewise, the effort by the Bush Administration and Congress to portray the planned invasion of Iraq as simply an effort to enforce United Nations Security Council resolutions reaches a new low in double standards. Over 10 000 Iraqi's have been killed in the past six months alone, although the United States are hardly as condemned as the democartically elected, Hamas.
Recently, there were the deaths of eight innocent Palestinians on a beach, for which Israel has denied military responsibility, thus leading to Hamas ending an informal ceasefire amid escalating tensions following the beach killings. Palestine did not breach the ceasefire, Israel did, yet it is Hamas that are represented negatively.
Hamas has openly declared that they will not attack Israel unless they are targeted first, and therefore should not be associated with Hitler and the Nazis, merely on the grounds of defence. Hamas has the right to use military action, as well as other means available in order to defend Palestine. Thus, Hamas being classed as Nazis cannot be justified. Other Countries, such as the United States are not condemned for 'defending' themselves, whilst Hamas recieve immense criticsm for their actions, which are fundementally due to the course of action taken by Israel. America and the UKs premptive strike for defensive purposes is not condoned, whilst Hamas are classed as 'Nazis'.
Israel frequently bombards Northern Gaza, targeting militant rocket crews who attack nearby Israeli territory. Israel has killed at least 11 Palestinian civilians in air strikes in recent days, many of them children.
When Hamas cause the death of Israeli's, the majority of the population in Palestine express sorrow, regret and remorse as well as condemning the action. This cannot be said for Israel, illustrating double standards on their part.

Thanks for the essay. You're clearly biased and ill-informed. There's no point preaching on here. We want reason. Reason. Israel is the ONLY democracy in the area. If you want to live under some backward Islamic dictatorship, just go there. Go.

Hamas are preaching what White-resistance and white nationalists such as Aryan resistance, BNP or the National Front are acting upon today. They are preaching the message of ethnic-cleasing, and they are a political pary? Political parties are there to promote equality and provide a democracy whereby citizens may have their views heard and then acted-upon. Ok, i see where they are coming-from but adopting this salute in my opinion is pure ignorance for a country that needs democracy and cannot afford to be shunned by the West.

You can not associate dictatorship with islam because islamic ruling (i.e. caliphate) is far more democratic than your so-called liberal democracy. In regards to palestine, you're the one who is ill informed because it is not 'islamic dictatorship'; it's purely liberal democracy considering Hamas was democratically elected, as emphasised in my 'essay'.

it is true that hamas were democratically elected but thet does not make the situation any better, they are a terrorist organisation, who promote violence. however the worlds reply seems immature and deeply consequential. stopping funds going through has resulted in a major financial crisis. the world need to go deeply in the problem and see why they were voted in. it may be due to the frustration of israel getting away with a number of crimes, due to the world turning a blind eye to them, and the lack of understanding and consideration for Palestine. israel also promote violence in that they dont seem to care how many civilians die as a result of their air strikes. the violation of the palestinians human rights by building the concrete barrier is still not being punished accordingly. this war is heavly disproportioned and has a resulted in hamas's victory due to sheer desperation. palestine are not supporting an ethnic cleansing but want the crimes gainst them ot be noticed.

I find it intriging how so many of you are on the'western front' to critise Hamas and how they got elected. Even though we are living in a democratic society, freedom of speech has a rare existence. It is so easy to spot other mistake but let me tell you one thing, 'look back in your own garden before you start judging others.
In my view, I think that Columbus made the biggest mistake in history. The world would be a better place. There is no other countrty that has been involved in so many wars. The list in unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In addition to my previous commnent, I think Jews should change the record. They go on and on about the Holocost yet they are doing the same thing to the Palestinians. So what your not gassing them, but the the end result is the same. Before i forget, look into the future about 50years.................you really think that Jewish leader would place a candle at Masjid Aqsa and say a prayer..................guess what the two events are mutally exclusive!!!!! The Jews have emotionally blackmailed the world and are continously doing so and they have a done a pretty good job(u have to admit). Just remember it was your beloved USA who turned their backs on you and it was the civilised nations that stood whilst you got tortured.
