Cranmer’s Pulpit No. IX

Cranmer is delighted to reward his communicants with an open pulpit today - for no other reason than that it delights him to do so.

His Grace’s ‘traffic’ has set a further record this month, with just under 20,000 unique visitors.

In perpetual commemoration of the spiritual liberation afforded by his own pulpit experience with the Provost of Eton, Dr Henry Cole, 'Cranmer’s Pulpit’ is for communicants to raise whatever religio-political or politico-religious concerns they do so wish…

…intelligently and eruditely, of course.

In the week where (some of us) have celebrated Charles King and Martyr who preferred God's Law to the World's laws it would be worth calm and considered reflection on how The Lord's Anointed is currently treated within our mature democracy. For instance where, despite the rejection by all elected bodies, a proposal for a New Town in Hampshire can now be taken for an absolute judgement against their wishes, not to Her Majesty, but to the Prime Minister.

Okay your hereticalness...

Two questions;

1. A few days ago My Majesty posted an enquiry - without response. My Majesty thought it a serious question. My Majesty's lady-in-waiting copies and pastes:

"My Majesty has a question for all you right wing chappies...

Why is the public discourse so coarse these days? - I ask both generally and specifically. Are people no longer capable of debate with people who disagree with them? Does the anonymity of the blogsphere make shrieking 'cunt' and 'traitor' okay? Frankly, that sort of stuff says more about the attacker than the attacked.

The question isn't a criticism of this blog - where the discourse is generally within bounds. But follow some of the links...

Oh dear!!!"

Any takers?

2. Muslim baiting - there is a lot of it about. My Majesty accepts that Islam is a problematic religion and pretty easily falsifiable. Also, the absence of reciprocity in terms of freedom of conscience/worship for non- muslim minorities in the Islamic world is a shocker. There are a billion people who disagree and are not going to disappear in a puff of smoke. Is there an alternative to simply shouting at Muslims how stupid/loathsome/dangerous they are?

Jus askin...

You Grace will recognise Rev Dr Peter Mullen from his most excellent and all too infrequent journaistic contrubutions to the Catholic Hreald. I include a Link Here,
to his latest Telegraph tract for the sheer pleasure of reading this mans thoughts.

i am struggling with the context of "the rod" as in spare the rod and spoil the child.
so far my studies seem to point to a staff of some kind, some interpret it as more corperal beating with a stick , or a staff , any biblical references welcome.

do the parlimentary standards committe use it these days??

No.

Whereas Christians have little choice (quite correctly) but to combat all manner of discussions surrounding the true nature of Jesus though reasoned argument (as is appropriate in a liberal democracy), Muslims are not interested in debate and play the offence card rather than answer the charges that Mohammed was a murdering, robbing, pedophile charlatan.

Your Majesty Mary Tudor... "Is there an alternative to simply shouting at Muslims how stupid/loathsome/dangerous they are"?

Your Majesty probably has a few guards at your castle drawbridge to ensure your Majesty's safety. Your Majesty would probably 'deal with' those found within your castle who preached against your country and your rule?

Perhaps we could start there?

Yes indeed.

Muslims are seeking protection against criticism of their murderous pedophilic cult under UK race laws. Being a Muslim is to be classed as an 'involuntary identity'.

See http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/33317/Muslims-let-down-by-race-law-

So whatever happened to Free Will and 'no compulsion in religion'?

Dear Mary Tudor, you kindly suggested swapping residences when I come back to England for a month.

Please let me know where you live and I shall consider it.

Yes. Subsidise their prompt, mass
return to their backward countries of orgin to thwart their attempted colonisation of western Europe.

The Nazis killed 6 million Jews, and we all felt so guilty that we let 20 million Muslims begin the colonisation of Europe.

Islam is incompatible with Christian and democratic culture. There is no such thing as a devout but moderate Muslim.

I say this not as a race-obsessive (like Mr - 'It's the Joos!'- Nedsherry), but as somene who is not averse to immigration from cultures broadly compatible with our Christian and democratic heritage. Unfortunately, the Ummah is not one of those!

My Majesty didn't propose a house swap and thanks but no thanks...

Your Majesty: are you entirely sure about that?

"Is there an alternative to simply shouting at Muslims how stupid/loathsome/dangerous they are?"

Your Majesty: I believe you may have inadvertently provided the answer to this question (see above).

All it needs is for someone to point me at the appropriate buttons ... I am no nicer a man than my historical namesake, and have never claimed to be.

Being Muslim is an involuntary identity now. Which means those suicide bombers really are just mindless golems with no brain whatsoever operating according to how much foreign policy has insulted them.

My Majesty is not averse to a bit of the old robust treatment - ask that Cranmer fellow ;-) but rather draws the line at genocide

I do understand your attitude, Your Majesty but, to paraphrase the Golden Rule (which doesn't exist in Islam with reference to infidels):

Do unto others as they would do unto you, but do it first.

In the history of Islamic expansion, no country (and not even Mecca itself) has become Islamic by other than the use of force. That use of force has involved the premature deaths of something in excess of 250 million people - and that mostly in the days when it all had to be done by hand. I have none of the finer feelings with respect to Islam and its practitioners.

Apart from Mecca (which had the wit to surrender), every conquest has involved a vast measure of slaughter. The great Paedophile himself said (to again paraphrase because I'm too lazy to dig out the actual quote): it is not for a prophet to take prisoners until there has been slaughter in the land.

Perhaps Najistani might be able to provide the approprate text?

Muslims have been taking him at his word ever since. Go ask an Armenian. Persian. Indian.

Sir Henry...

My Majesty accepts that Islam is a problematic religion and it has recently come to my royal attention that apparently one third of the Koran is in fact pinched from a piece of third century Christian hymnody. Perhaps this should be more widely known...

ps Pretty naff rum they named after you. If I were you I'd complain. My Majesty is partial to a shot of Cockspurs (Barbadian) as far the superior article

Yes, it is naff isn't it. Wish my crew was still around to help me sort it out and inflict a bit more respect ... ;)

Personally, on the rare occasion that I partake, I prefer a decent (none of that cheap rubbish), genuine V.S.O.P.,cognac. Must be getting soft in my old age.

Paul of that Ilc writes:

Holocaustianity is the west's new state religion. His Grace is an adherent, unfortunately. I'm not: I've been cured by my race-obsession.

I say this not as a race-obsessive (like Mr - 'It's the Joos!'- Nedsherry),

Do get it right: it's 'the Jooooooos'.

but as somene who is not averse to immigration from cultures broadly compatible with our Christian and democratic heritage. Unfortunately, the Ummah is not one of those!

They're not "broadly compatible" because they're not the same race. But that makes even more attractive to people who want to wreck the west. Even now the likes of Dr Lancaster will not admit Muslim immigration was a very bad idea, because it did a great deal of useful harm to their traditional enemies: Christian whites.

Go read some Islamic webboards run by moderates if you think they are poor misunderstood future comrades. They aren't, most of them are barking moonbats.

www.mpacuk.org - these guys were feted by the BBC a while ago as being moderates. I went to their website, and concluded that they were in fact nutcases.

www.islamcan.com - a board with its fair share of foaming nuts.

etc.

Don't take someones word for what Muslims are like, they got their own web hangouts you know - go look for yourself!

If are interested in moderates, then you need to look at organisations such as the Muslim Parliament (current incarnation) - and perhaps the 50%+ of "cultural" Muslims who do not attend Mosque regularly (leaving aside the fact that a good number of those who do attend Mosque regularly are also moderate).

MPACUK are (always have been afaik) anti-semitic, intolerant, self-righteous headbangers - albeit they occasionally have campaigns that can be supported (e.g., for proper facilities for women at Mosques).

Islamcan I do not know.
