EU flag flies above UK government department

It is perhaps apt that the EU flag flies alongside the Union flag over the Department of Children, Schools and Families. The department long since ceased to have any interest in the education of children, the quality of teaching, or the state of the nation's schools. It is not only symbolic of 'pooled' sovereignty; it is testimony to the millions of euros the EU pumps into the nation's schools each year, under the guise of 'information' or the promotion of EU 'exchange' projects like Comenius.

Cranmer wonders if the department will be ciculating this useful piece of information about our EU masters. All in the interests of education, you understand:

He rather suspects not.

Your Grace

What a hilarious Yu-tube excerpt - especially the green party member doing her Greta Garbo impression! It would make a fantastic sitcom.

And who is the announcer at the beginning - a veeeeeeeery scary blond!

But Your Grace should take some comfort from this newsitem that there are others across Europe who also regard the eurogravy train as an outrage.

I wonder why the BBC has not mined this rich vein of news and outrage - too busy trying to get us to erect windmills, I suppose

I hope they start flying the EU flag everywhere. It would make politics so much clearer and simpler.

You Grace seems to be under the impression that the job of Education is to teach children to think for themselves. This heresy was abandoned nearly a hundred years ago, the task of Education is to turn out "Good Citizens". I truly doubt they will show MEPs misusing funds, that might lead to questions in young minds. Mustn't have that!

Your Grace; this is indeed a superb expose of our Euro representatives scoffing in their piggery though to be fair the Irish MEP Kathy Sinnot did post a Youtube video explaining that yes, she had indeed already been at work for seven hours before being filmed but I have, regretably, not been able to re-locate it.

If I may digress just slightly, this video is about the response of the EU Parliament to the No vote from Ireland.

It clearly shows the chambers officers demanding enforcement of their own rules when this is inconvenient to sceptics while ignoring points of their own law which are inconvenient to themselves.
This is beyond a parody of mis-government and the time must soon arrive at which we may judge ourselves to be illegally governed.

Mr Blubber,

Does one need to hat-tip YouTube? The link was emailed directly to His Grace, and the YouTube credit is clearly displayed in the corner.

Do you have nothing better to do?
