Taxpayers foot the bill to combat Islamic extremism

As the councillors in Tower Hamlets are allegedly being obliged to observe Ramadan whether they are Muslim or not, it appears that taxpayers are contributing to the propagation of a ‘moderate’ Islamic theology in the name of ‘fighting Muslim extremism’.

If this isn’t Jizya, Cranmer is not sure what is.

Jizya is the tax under Islamic law which non-Muslims have to pay in order to live their lives with a degree of autonomy and to practise their faith free from aggression.

Birmingham City Council spent £525,000 in the last financial year under the Government’s secrecy-shrouded Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund (PVE). And now they are throwing another £2.4 million at the project, to be spread over the next three years. Since this augments the Council Tax, it is a manifest financial penalty upon each household in areas with significant Muslim populations in order to combat Islamist aggression.

While councils across the country have received PVE cash to help communities tackle extremism, there are concerns over how some local authorities are using the money. Birmingham City Council used the £525,000 to fund projects at 10 mosques in the city. Dr Mashuq Ally, the council’s ‘Head of Equality and Diversity’ (who asked taxpayers if they wanted to fund such Marxist pursuits?) said the projects ‘focused on young people, religious institutions, and women and media’. Among them was a scheme to teach imams English. Another was aimed at developing management structures in the mosques.

Surely these ‘management structures’ ought simply be educated to employ English-speaking imams in the first place. Why should the taxpayer subsidise importing Pakistani imams into UK mosques? It is not their lack of English that offends, but the particular brand of Islam that they preach. At least if they cannot speak English, the propagation of their message of hate is somewhat hindered.

Another programme involved the council funding Criminal Records Bureau checks on all teachers and staff working at the Islamic schools attached to the mosques. But since other schools are obliged to find this money themselves, this amounts to a taxpayer subsidy on unregulated madrassas. The people of Birmingham are unwittingly helping to educate the next generation of Muslims through faith schools which are not subject to Ofsted - the state’s inspection regime.

Among the mosques to receive funding is the Green Lane mosque in Small Heath, notorious for being featured on the Channel 4 Dispatches programme Undercover Mosque, the sequel of which broadcasts tomorrow. But in contravention of every guideline for the spending of taxpayers’ money, substantial funds are allocated with no accountability. While some may question how Dr Mashuq Ally, a Muslim, could lead on matters of equality and diversity, all ought to be concerned with his admission that ‘we commission work and pay for the cost for things to be delivered. We don’t go and tender out, the reason for that is that it can create divisions within communities’.

You see, this work is ‘highly specialised’ – too specialised for the kuffar to comprehend, and too specialised to merit obtaining at least two competing quotations to ensure good value for the taxpayer.

There is no doubt that some Muslims object to PVE because they think the programme stigmatises them, but there are an awful lot more non-Muslims who object to the fact that Muslim groups seem to be benefiting from the handouts while youth clubs, libraries and community centres have been closed down for lack of funds.

And when one considers the behaviour of the councillors in Tower Hamlets, one has to wonder whether local government is even capable of choosing appropriate Muslim partners for this kind of project. When the Government’s Communities and Local Government department was asked what checks, if any, are being carried out to ensure local authorities are allocating funding effectively to counter extremism, a spokeswoman said: "This funding is not being ring-fenced in this financial year, but is currently being paid through the Area Based Grant. This gives local authorities flexibility about how they used their resources.

"The Communities Secretary will be reviewing these arrangements at the end of the financial year 2008/09 and will consider at that point whether there are exceptional circumstances which would merit ring-fencing."

So the peace and safety of the realm is the hands of Hazel Blears. Isn’t that reassuring?

Having read your last post that extols sound moral Christian values toward the poor, combined with this post which demonstrates an unwavering willingness to deal with the Islamic issue and a genuine understand of what the issue is.

I have concluded that there is some deep and profound connection between your good self and Jesus, in that you was both put to death many centuries back and yet strangely are men of our time.

What I fail to see though and this I believe may have been the point 'the gentleman loser' was attemting to get over to us in the last post, only to be considered at first glance a Marxist, I fail to see how your worthy opinions and insight have any relevance to Tory policy as I have ever known or am likely to know.

Do Pakistani imams require a work permit or do religions have an exemption (surprise) from the law? Surely the ability to speak English should be a condition of entry for work.

Traditionally the western establishment has always had its tried and tested methods of controlling their own populations.

These include periodically buggering up their own and other countries economies. While constantly and consistently doing their utmost to weaken the family unit and any other forms of normal social cohesion between people of different races and economic classes.

Immigrants and immigration have been used for this purpose in the past. We should not be surprised to see that they are being used for this purpose today.

The Islamic worlds establishment have FAR FAR more in common with the western worlds establishment the they do with their own respective common people. As we should know, almost all of our own domestic MPs have far more in common with each other, then they do with their electorate, for a similar reason.

The ability to sacrifice, with out care or emotion, the lives of your own people and/or soldiers is an essential qualification for high command within the military establishment. Likewise political, leading to despotic governance.

Therefore Islam has a history of sacrificing its own, every bit as much as the western world has. ( Pearl Harbor being one good example, 9/11 being another.) Otherwise Islam would already be no more then a footnote in a history book.

I would suggest some try to understand the 'Islamic problem' this way.

The people that conspire to run the world do not tell the people how exactly they plan to do this, although they seem compelled to leave many clues.

Death, mass sacrifice, terrorism, propaganda, wars, famine, disease, are simply the tools of their trade. They mostly do not see themselves as instruments of the devil. Much as a sheep farmer sees nothing wrong with his busy slaughter house.

Power and control is the name of their game, they would argue their god given duty.

Working out the rules and objectives of this game, should be our job. But remember the few can only win over the many by never letting the common people, either know what the rules are, or what the true objective really is. Until if we are lucky, it is way past the time when we can do anything about the situation.( our present economic crisis being a good example) Otherwise we never find out ( of which I can not give examples, for obvious reasons.)

Therefore to understand the world it is vital that one never takes ANY information or opinions propagated via ANY countries MSM at face value. Reading between the lines is the key to this understanding.

While reaching this understanding also try to remember it is NEVER the fault of the common people. The vast majority of which do not have a truly racist bone in their body, which has not been placed there by their own establishment. They CAN NOT ever, make consistently correct rational well thought out choices because they are never allowed to know all the relevant information needed to do so. They virtually ALL simply want to live long, peaceful, and prosperous lives, free from fear and intimidation.

All of the worlds establishment know this, which is why they will NEVER allow it to happen for long or without a need for periodic mass sacrifice. Because they know the day that happens they will all be permanently redundant. They also guess that the common people would then start acting like headless chickens and a state of permanent instead of periodic chaos and stagnation will result.

The big questions concerning the establishment, are these.

Are they right?

Will we ever be allowed to properly find out whether they are or not?

IMO the answers to both of these questions is NO. Although on the first question I could be persuaded to change my mind, if they could just start to moderate their murderous behavior for once, and stop treating us all as complete idiots.

Mr Dizzyfatplonka,

His Grace would like to point you towards the answer to this question, which is to be found in your own words.

You say: 'I have concluded that there is some deep and profound connection between your good self and Jesus, in that you was both put to death many centuries back and yet strangely are men of our time.'

Is it not the missionary task of Christians to attempt to interpret the gospel message anew for each generation, and for those in authority to aspire to govern righteously as they attempt to implement policies which reflect the Christian ethic? And is it not intrinsically Conservative to want to uphold the Christian foundations of this nation?

The relevance 'for Tory policy' is self evident.

Then we will all be singing from the same song sheet your Grace when the 'relevance' can be found in actions rather than words I guess.

Words and deeds never have been good bed fellows in the political arena and so this self evidence must manifest itself through the experience of each individual self,
as for my individual self there has been no self evidence in my personal experience.

What an excellent piece from Atlas shrugged!

Of course this is all money straight down the drain. The Islamic "holy texts" command that the Kuffar be made to Submit to the Islamic Allah, pay the Jizya, and be a good Dhimmi. Those Muslims who cannot read the Arabic of their texts, or pray to their Allah in Arabic are second class Submitters. See how they treat Muslim immigrant labour in Saudi Arabia for instance. So converts must learn and use Arabic. What use is a Kuffar language like English?

It is clear that the Islamics have religious mandates for separation while they are building up their population. For while a Hudna (false truce or temporary cessation) is permissible when they are weak, there was no such concession permitting integration or assimilation.

Perhaps we will have to venture onto the estates where they wear the tag of ASBO with pride, and learn how to do it. For unless our politicians really get a grip on this attack on Britain, and get it soon, we will shortly have to wear the sign of the Kuffar, and must wear it with pride for witness to our God.

How do we get this
Islam - What the West Needs to Know
across to our politicians?

Geesh! Having deleted the BNP web site from my favorites, I thought for a minute I had made some error and was indeed on the wrong site. However, I commend His Grace for the willingness and courage to face the 'Islamic issue' with uncompromising words.
In order to clarify my position about the BNP, at the risk of censorship, I would not deny my previous membership. The problem being a member of the BNP is that nobody will listen to a word you say for obvious reasons. But at the time they were the people who had the courage to speak out and say the things which only now do many others dare to speak of.
But enough of the BNP, I make no apologies, except to say racism in all it's forms is wrong. What His Grace describes here today is positive discrimination which threatens the natural integrity of our Christian culture, and I will not change my attitude that if speaking out is going to cost us something, then let it cost us something.
There have been too many liberties taken at the expense of the British way of life, and over a very short period of time: So short a period of time that it has been scary and disturbing for many of our people who now have no clue about how to react and run this way and that around a Forrest of mulberry bushes.
The whole situation has us paralyzed with suspicion and nervous about hidden agendas, to the point where we/I can jump to conclusions about people who are really on our/my side of the line.
What his Grace describes today is surely not right in the mind and common sense reasoning of the 'average' British man? I would like to think it sounds alarm bells in the most distant and feeble of minds. It has to stop, it has to be reversed, and I am inclined to believe that there is a self evident side to Tory policy which will have the courage, foresight and national interests to set things right and repair the damage.

Koran actively instructs internecine warfare, read sura 9:111

"Surely Allah has bought of the believers their persons and their property for this, that they shall have the garden; they fight in Allah's way, so they slay and are slain; a promise which is binding on Him in the Taurat and the Injeel and the Quran; and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Rejoice therefore in the pledge which you have made; and that is the mighty achievement."

And is it not intrinsically Conservative to want to uphold the Christian foundations of this nation?

The Conservative Party is not intrinsically anything much at all.

The only thing that is intrinsically Conservative is keeping the opposition out of power. Often it seems/is obvious, that powerful forces within the Conservative Party do not believe their own party should do even this for too long.

Being intrinsically conservative however is reserved for the vast majority of ordinary sane people.

Which is why, very paradoxically, it is the forces of reaction that are the ones which are ALWAYS under attack from the establishment.

These forces of reaction need no subsidy or promotion from above. In my ideal society they would not need a political party or an established religion either.

I think it can be safely stated that after the combined efforts of Cameron and the ABofC have taken full effect, it will be clear that these forces no longer have a political party or an established religion to support them, and possibly never did have either.

Politicians, especially now days, are indoctrinated with a belief that change is not only intrinsically good in itself and fundamentally inevitable.

Their programming also gives them the totally crazy idea that they are somehow qualified to know what that change should be for the betterment of society as a whole.

Even more crazy is the belief that they would be trusted by anyone with any REAL power to personally decide anything of any real importance whatsoever anyway.

Unless national party politics is understood within the context of an already long existent, unelected, dishonestly covert WORLD GOVERNMENT. Party politics will remain a more then worthless illusion at best. Or a highly dangerous unwitting enabler of death and destruction at worst.

One thing it will never be allowed to do is protect natural human common sense conservatism, unless it is FORCED TO by the collective will of the common people. It is the nature of the Human Spirit that has long since been required to be the 'first thing up against the wall when the revolution comes,' well before Hitler or even Marx were a twinkle in their respective mothers eyes.

Put another way.

Radical planned change is generally very good for the power crazed despots that planned the change. (For them its like betting on the Grand National exclusively knowing all the other horses will be shot dead before the last furlong.)

Not generally so good for the common people that have been given not even a substantial clue, that a plan even exists, never mind the identities of the people that contrived the plan. ( for us, it is like being involved in a game of Russian Roulet, when only our opponents are allowed to see which chamber the bullet is in first, and decide where they point the gun.

I have often wondered why under tony blair labour did not get more tough with islamic teaching and law.
Now that certain aspects of sharia law idea has been brooched , you would have thought labour would have been rushing to cite this as pro religous creep which should be stopped !!

you have to ask yourself the question have they brokered some sort of deal , think muslim go labour , why on earth would you want to promote (or at least not minimise) the speaking and printing of a language that only creates more dvision the more ingrained it becomes.

welsh and celtic language have within them there own codified histories , unfortunately so too does the arabic of islam.

i had hoped islam was capable of moderating and even modernising its self . But where are the great scholars of islam ?? No moderate voice is heard because to do so, against what is written in islamic verse invites sharia and fatwah.

It is odd to note how islam mimics communism or vica versa , indeed when you look at how baathest parties worked at their peak it would be hard to tell any difference !!

Muslim Youths

Muslim youths are angry, frustrated and extremist because they have been mis-educated and de-educated by the British schooling. Muslim children are confused because they are being educated in a wrong place at a wrong time in state schools with non-Muslim monolingual teachers. They face lots of problems of growing up in two distinctive cultural traditions and value systems, which may come into conflict over issues such as the role of women in the society, and adherence to religious and cultural traditions. The conflicting demands made by home and schools on behaviour, loyalties and obligations can be a source of psychological conflict and tension in Muslim youngsters. There are also the issues of racial prejudice and discrimination to deal with, in education and employment. They have been victim of racism and bullying in all walks of life. According to DCSF, 56% of Pakistanis and 54% of Bangladeshi children has been victims of bullies. The first wave of Muslim migrants were happy to send their children to state schools, thinking their children would get a much better education. Than little by little, the overt and covert discrimination in the system turned them off. There are fifteen areas where Muslim parents find themselves offended by state schools.

The right to education in one’s own comfort zone is a fundamental and inalienable human right that should be available to all people irrespective of their ethnicity or religious background. Schools do not belong to state, they belong to parents. It is the parents’ choice to have faith schools for their children. Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. There is no place for a non-Muslim teacher or a child in a Muslim school. There are hundreds of state schools where Muslim children are in majority. In my opinion, all such schools may be designated as Muslim community schools. An ICM Poll of British Muslims showed that nearly half wanted their children to attend Muslim schools. There are only 143 Muslim schools. A state funded Muslim school in Birmingham has 220 pupils and more than 1000 applicants chasing just 60.

Majority of anti-Muslim stories are not about terrorism but about Muslim culture--the hijab, Muslim schools, family life and religiosity. Muslims in the west ought to be recognised as a western community, not as an alien culture.

Mr ftikhar Ahmad

Muslim ought NOT to be recognised as a western community BECAUSE they are incapable of integrating into western society.

The political dress codes of Muslims are alien to western society. Muslims are immigrants. They are obliged to respect the host nation. WHY?

Because this is not a Muslim country. Muslims are in this country because they wish to better themselves. The facilities available to Muslims in Europe are far in excess of anything the majority could expect in ANY Muslim state.

Free health services, housing benefit, child benefit, unemployment benefit, free education. Muslims make up 12.5% of the unemployed. 80% of Somali Muslims do not work. The Muslim immigrants to Britain are productive. They are a drain on British taxpayers. For this reason, a little RESPECT might be expected.

However, for those of us who have taken time, after 9/11 and 7/7 et al to read the Koran, we understand that Muslims believe they have a RIGHT to extract money from Infidels and Jews BECAUSE, these people are inferior.

This is NOT a good approach to community relations. The great British tolerance is severely tested. Muslims TAKE and DEMAND more. Other immigrant groups contribute. This explains precisely why Muslims are regarded with suspicion. Not to mention the incitement to hatred and the objectives of the Muslim Brotherhood to take over western society and turn it into a retarded Islamic State.

Doubtless you have some explanation for the original Dispatches (Channel 4) programme and the one I watched last evening from Regent's Park Mosque. THIS is what British taxpayers are funding! Thank you but no thanks. I have daughters and grand daughters.
