Cranmer's Collect: Fourth Sunday in Advent

Lord, raise up (we pray thee) thy power, and come among us, and with great might succor us; that whereas, through our sins and wickedness, we be sore let and hindered, thy bountiful grace and mercy, through the satisfaction of thy son our Lord, may deliver us; to whom with thee and the holy ghost be honor and glory, world without end.

This is the collect for the Fourth Sunday of Advent in the Extraordinary Roman Rite:

O Lord we beseech Thee, stir up Thy power, and come, and with great might succour us: that by the help of Thy grace that which is hindered by our sins may be hastened by Thy merciful forgiveness: Who livest and reignest with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. R. Amen.

R. Amen.

Amen to both.

Keep the baby, not the bathwater. I agree with Cranmer!
