Gordon Brown: "We not only saved the world...!"
This is one of those trivial moments which causes much mirth and merriment.
But it ceases to be trivial when one considers that the Prime Minister actually believes this of himself. His journeys to Brussels, Paris, Washington (but not Berlin) are not so much an exercise in credit-crash management, but attempts to propagate the lie the Gordon Brown's economics will save the world.
Sadly, they got us here. Gordon Brown is no saviour, and has no concern for anyone but himself and his 'place in history'. He is profoundly psychologically flawed. But we cannot say we were not warned.
