Will Islam save the United Kingdom by her example?

After the Battle of Trafalgar, Pitt the Younger was toasted as 'the Saviour of Europe'. He demurred, insisting that Europe was not to be saved by any one man: “England has saved herself by her exertions, and will, as I trust, save Europe by her example.”

We did, of course, ‘save Europe’ on many occasions.

Perhaps not always ‘by example’, but certainly by consistently maintaining a balance of power which was invariably in the national interest.

Now, of course, Europe has consumed (indeed, abolished) England: we are nothing but a country of ‘euro regions’, each directly funded by and subject to the foreign power; to the princes and potentates in Brussels who prohibit and permit, determine and decree, legislate and direct what we may and may not do.

But that is old news.

With a supine (to put it politely) national church, the marginalisation of Christianity and an increasing assertion of fundamentalist secularism, Islam may be about to the UK a great service.

Bear with His Grace on this one.

Harridan Hormone’s (EU-inspired) Equality Bill was dealt a severe blow in three key votes on proposed amendments in the House of Lords. The legal inequalities which our Masters in Brussels sought to force Parliament to eradicate were retained at Their Lordships’ pleasure.

The churches were prepared for the battle, and no doubt many thousands of Christians donned their breastplates of righteousness and interceded for victory. Cranmer wondered who might win (fully expecting, being a seasoned observer, that the Gates of Hell would prevail).

The issue of the extent to which churches (and other religious bodies) might continue to discriminate against employees on the grounds of their sexual conduct (or, for Pope Benedict, even their inclination), was of importance not only for religious liberty but also the right to freedom of conscience.

Baroness O’Cathain, supported by the passionate, charismatic and patriotic Archbishop John Sentamu (...would that he might succeed Rowan Williams...) insisted that religious institutions must retain their exemption from equality legislation which prohibits discrimination on the grounds of sexuality: they must be permitted to maintain their traditional ethos and have the right to expect that staff would uphold tenets of their faith.

And they won: a powerful coalition of bishops and Conservative peers defeated the Government by 216 votes to 178.

The Government, of course, still wants it to be made impossible for a Roman Catholic school to sack its head teacher if he should declare himself homosexual, enter into a civil partnership with his boyfriend, undergo gender realignment and then cross-dress (if such it would be) to come to school.

But such a law must be applied uniformly. Thus the imam in a mosque or the head teacher of a Muslim school may also not be dismissed on the grounds of sexuality.

One wonders what legislative madness it is that permits dismissal for consuming a bacon sandwich, yet not for consummating a same-sex union.

But the Government now have a problem.

Lord Tebbit put it succinctly when he said: "We have a choice tonight – whether we walk in fear of the law of the Lord or the law of Brussels. I know which way I am going."

The House of Commons could be asked to vote to overturn Their Lordships, effectively asserting EU judicial primacy over centuries of freedom of conscience and religion. Or risk prosecutions being brought by agitating atheists, militant homosexuals or tactical transsexuals against a church, a church school – or (Allah forbid) a mosque.

And this is not a trivial point of inconsequential levity.

While the Church of England has been content to do nothing to defend itself against foreign princes and potentates (indeed, it has been complicit in its own destruction), the Mosque of England might be a little less inclined to be told what it must and must not teach and whom it may or may not employ.

Will this Labour Government, consumed and distracted by its agonising death throes, ram this Bill through Parliament regardless of the views of the Lords Temporal and Spiritual?

Since the Archbishop of Canterbury has (again) gone Trappist, will the mosques assert the primacy of the Law of (the) God over the laws of man?

Will this England, which was wont to save herself by her exertions, now be saved by the example of Islam?

My enemies enemy is my friend? Unfortunately this policy always has a nasty habit of coming back to bite you on the bum in the long run.

My observation is that Muslims didn't engage a great deal regarding the equality legislation as they know they will simply ignore it regardless of it's outcome and no-one will dare do anything about it ... as they currently do with corporal punishment and countless other laws.

Three hurrahs for Lord Tebbit, our Conservative peers and our bishops!

Let us remember forevermore Lord Tebbit’s immortal defence: “We have a choice tonight – whether we walk in fear of the law of the Lord or the law of Brussels. I know which way I am going."

“Will this England, which was wont to save herself by her exertions, now be saved by the example of Islam?”

So, it has come to this that we look upon another religion, a foreign god: to save us?

No! Nay! Never!

What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin:
If we are mark'd to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires:
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England:
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more, methinks, would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is called the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

The example of Islam! When one looks at some of its practices and evangelistic methods example is not the first word that comes to mind. No, Islam may well come out of this sexual ethics versus equalities struggle unscathed but only because it is the toughest nut to crack. We shall not be rescued by their militancy.

If the Government forces the bill through the Commons I think their strategy will be to go for the soft target, the religion that doesn't resort to violent protest at the slightest provocation. By implementing the EU directive 'extensively' the Government will placate agitating atheists, militant homosexuals or tactical transsexuals and avoid them snitching to the European Commission. Thus they will defuse the risk of prosecution by the European Court of Justice and can instead hop across the Channel with a glowing report of their repressive achievements. The Beast will then chew contentedly on its breakfast of Christian liberty, religious conscience and freedom of association and snooze in its lair - until it's time for lunch.

That is unless enough of those tiresome Christians decide to obey God rather than men, and tell the authorities that they will not serve their political idols or bend before this irreligious law. The Beast may still enjoy its breakfast but God will ensure that it suffers from appalling indigestion.

Islam is a travesty and perversion of Christianity in many respects, and Jesus would probably have advised the pedophile Mohammed to tie a millstone round his neck and jump into the sea. (Mark 9:42). In Islam stoning of women is still a major spectator sport, whereas Jesus forbade it (John 8:7). Human sacrifice is an abomination in Judaism and Christianity, but is encouraged in Islam.

To encourage, or give the appearance of encouragement, the so called benefits of alien persons and alien religions in a land once renowned for it's service to the one, true, living God, as you have in your post, is not permitted for a follower of Christ.

The unholy mess that the current and numerous previous Governments have left this country in is literally devastating.

To allow a parallel system of Law and Justice to be set up alongside our own (EU or Sharia, take your pick) is cultural and religious suicide.

For a pile of ashes as old as Your Grace, a hundred years is scarcely any time at all. May I invite the ashes, then, to look to the next century? In his article, Muslim Europe: the demographic time bomb transforming our continent, Adrian Michaels says:

Europe's Muslim population has more than doubled in the past 30 years and will have doubled again by 2015...According to the US's Migration Policy Institute, residents of Muslim faith will account for more than 20 per cent of the EU population by 2050.

Being no statistician, I cannot calculate when Muslims will reach a majority in Europe but it is certain that they will, on present trends. If equality legislation still exists when Europe comes under the control of Islam, Your Grace may be certain that the Mohammedans will throw it on the bonfire.

Being no clairvoyant, I cannot predict whether the burning of equality laws will take precedence over the burning of the Holy Bible.

You ask: "Will Islam save the United Kingdom by her example?" It is the present people in Parliament and Government that are destroying it and only ALL the people of this Country can save it.

There has been a recent decision to remove the remaining Hereditary Peers and/or finish the by-election as one Hereditary ‘departs’ by electing a further Hereditary. Well done for those that want to destroy the UK. There is no doubt that there would have been no need for the “Act of Union”, a Treaty between two separate Nations/Countries, in fact Kingdoms, that had decided to be united, a coming together to be ruled by one Parliament situated in England, and that this was to be for all time, if Article XX11 of that Treaty was not included or entrenched within it. The requirement being 45 Scottish MP’s to sit in the Commons and 16 Scottish Peers in the House of Lords. There is no doubt at all the Act of Union, was and is entrenched. (Protected) it was indeed a TREATY and although at the time of writing the 1706 Treaty, it was insecure up until the Treaty had been ratified. It was ratified.

There is a great deal of difference between a “Life Peer” and a “Hereditary Peer”, there must be otherwise why get rid of the Hereditary Peers? Neither have been “elected” by the people to the House of Lords. There was only Hereditary Peers in 1706. Get rid of the Hereditary Peers as so required in the Act of Union and that would repudiate the Treaty and Act of Union giving just the nudge for the ‘divorce” allowing Scotland to become, not just as it is now, A Region of the EU, but a Country in its own right once more. Bang goes the United Kingdom of Great Britain and its Union Flag. etc,. Bang goes its representation in the Houses of Parliament. It is its own Sovereign Country once more-whether it will remain in the EU would be up to the new Scottish Government.

The Treaty and Acts of Union are the very foundation stones of the Common Law Constitution of this Kingdom and Parliament, for not only was it the end of an independent sovereign Nation and Country of Scotland, it was the birth of the then sovereign Nation and people’s of Great Britain as well as the “Parliament of Great Britain” as we know it today, the Great British Parliament and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If this happens perhaps it gives hope to others that if that ancient Treaty can be repudiated then so can the Treaties of the European Union-as once laid down by Lord Denning. Every dark cloud has a silver lining after-all. You ask: "Will Islam save the United Kingdom by her example?" I think, because of the present, past and would be NEW Government, can ANYONE save it? Only when it is spat out of the mouth of the EU.

I doubt very much whether the so called Equality Bill will be returned by the government.
Has it the will, or even time, to pursue this before the GE? I think not.
What will be interesting, and of great importance for the Christian churches, is whether the will of the European Union will eventually prevail, or that of our Parliament when the issue re-surfaces.
It will do so, because the basis of the Equality Bill is the EU Employment Directive of 2000 which is mandatory for member states of the EU to comply with.
So it will return.
The question then is what will be the reaction of a new government, given that any further legislation will not in all likelihood be framed before, but after, the general election.
Has the Conservative Party any more or less principle than Labour on this issue?
But YG, the gist of your message is clear, the Moslem community will not tolerate such a blatant attack upon its beliefs, and may yet shame the Established church to re-think and apply Biblical principles to its own ministers.

But YG it's an odd argument that says that because Muslims stand against the state's interference in religious liberties they will save Christianity from its own inertia. 2:282 Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her.

4:11 Allah has thus enjoined you concerning your children: A male shall inherit twice as much as a female.

4:34 Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other...

Not one word of the Qur’an has been altered in over a thousand years, and then along comes Harriet Harman.

All I can comment on, on the Equality Bill is that most people in time, will realise that some are always "more equal than others". This has always been so, and always will be. The end game in all this legislation going through Parliament is to destroy the very way of life as we know and knew it here in the UK, the very fabric of society.

When any, if not all new Bills come for debate in the UK Parliament, I, along with others can probably find the 'original' in the EU. Our MP's have for so long taken and obeyed orders from the EU, I wonder at times if they would know how to make up legislation for themselves. AH yes they can, because they are the ones that look to destroy every part eventually of our long standing Common Law Constitution, part of which I have written about previously. That same Constitution so many died for in the last war when they tried to prevent foreigners from Governing this Country.

Most Moslems (even so-called moderates) insist that Allah's law takes primacy over man made law, an argument which would have considerable validity in their own countries of origin and which most manage to comply with in this country. Some are asking for our law to be changed to meet their needs, something which I oppose on the grounds that they must have known the rules when they came here.
However, the Christian religion was here before man-made laws as we know them, and thus the Christians, in my view, do have the right to insist that God's laws take primacy and our church leaders should insist that this should remain the status quo.
The fact that this places them under attack by trendies and non-believers is immaterial. These people have a perverted view of life. Everyone must allow them to go their way, however distasteful it seems, but we must not be allowed to go our way without them harassing us. They just can't see the illogicality of their position. And why on earth should anyone want to work for an organisation that they profess to dislike and with people who would have no wish to associate with them other than out of bloody-mindedness (and perhaps the future compensation claim)?

Ah yes, Ginro! Thank you: the King of East Anglia, whom they killed in November, 869. Aelfric (ca.955-1010) translated the story into English from the Latin of Abbo Fleury.

It shows, after all, a precedent for cowardly Churchmen!!! So here's my favorite bit: Edmund's reply to the Bishop who tries to talk him into compliance with the invaders:
"Alas bishop, the poor people of this country are already shamefully afflicted. I would rather die fighting so that my people might continue to possess their native land." The bishop said: "Alas beloved king, thy people lie slain. You do not have the troops that you may fight, and the pirates come and kidnap the living. Save your life by flight, or save yourself by submitting to him." Then said king Edmund, since he was completely brave: "This I heartily wish and desire, that I not be the only survivor after my beloved thegns are slain in their beds with their children and wives by these pirates. It was never my way to flee. I would rather die for my country if I need to. Almighty God knows that I will not ever turn from worship of Him, nor from love of His truth. If I die, I live."

No is the answer to this; for the laws of islam are the laws of man. The laws of the Bible are the word of God. We cannot hope to spread the Christian message by entering and alliance with Islam. If the government gets its own way it will seed its own destruction. The gays and others may feel empowered for a while, but when Islam takes over they will all be shot or put in jail. Your Grace, I do not believe that Islam will take up the slack for labour’s poor legislation and attempting to defeat this odious bill or our EU masters, by relying on Islam will simply not work. As rebel saint said, any attempt by Islam to subvert any proposed equality law will simply be ignored by the state and its left/liberal/socialist intelligentsia. This is because the left view Islam not so much as a religion, but through the view of those that follow this religion; namely in the UK ethnic minorities, who are also “poor” and “working class”. Although I am sure we would both agree that this view is nonsense, because Islam is like Christianity and evangelistic religion (hence you can have white Muslims and ethnic minority Christians), this is the left’s perspective.

The other reason why the left will ignore any non-compliance with any equality act is that they depend upon Islam’s vote to keep them in power. This may appear to his grace as a contradiction; so-called “social conservative” Muslims voting for a left wing party which is the antithesis of their own religion.

Yet politically such contradictions have been notable, take for instance US politics, in which the democratic party, consisted of Catholic, liberal intelligentsia & or Trade Union supporting classes, in coalition with a deeply conservative Protestant rural Southern vote.

The interesting observation is that, unlike US politics, the Muslims will probably not turn to the conservative party (which remains sceptical) but is more likely to continue with its perverse coalition with the socialists or else form their own “Islamic” party.

And this is perhaps the logical outcome of labour’s equality bill; rather than trying to see society as an organic structure in which there are the ruled and the rulers, or one which people accept their lot in life, who can raise themselves up the social scale, not by illegality or wrong, but by using the moral and intellectual faculties with which the creator has endowed us all with, the socialist attempt to divide people into various categories of who needs help against those who do not.

The socialist goes against Biblical principal and natures order. We may soon see the ration book return and riots on the streets, before we have fully dealt with the socialist legacy of division, mistrust and anti- Christian attitude. Jesus wept.

Your Grace, I have just slipped through the space/time continuum into a world, which is split into a left/liberal/socialist camp and a predominately Muslim one.

There has been a terrible nuclear war, which was launched by Islamic fundamentalists. Most of the planet is now starving and people are reduced to the status of eating worms to survive. The Muslims and the atheists started to take over with the crushing of Christianity and Judaism in the name of equality legislation.

First it was the use of legal methods, in the left/liberal/socialist part of the world, then intimidation and persecution.

In the Muslim areas (especially where they had gained a foothold in parts of Christendom), God fearing folk were sent to slave labour camps, if they agreed to convert. Those that did not were crucified upside down or stoned to death, in the Muslim part of the world. In the atheist/left/liberal part of the world, Christians and Jews were eventually put into lunatic asylums, because it was considered to be insane that you could hold to either religions views, and property, wealth and land were seized.

Then after the Christians and the Jews were dealt with, the final battle between the atheist socialists and the Muslims occurred.

And the result was a nuclear holocaust and men regretted the day they invented the perverse equality legislation and the few remaining Christians cursed the day the proposed an alliance with Islam, in the hope that equality legislation would be halted and a result.

And from hell, Satan, was pleased with what he had achieved.

Sabina is right. Afterall the yanks took 3 years to enter WWI, after taking half the world's gold supply. And 2 years to enter WWII, after stripping the UK bare of any wealth and power. Then after WWII, the yanks made us give up our empire to further their own interest, which ironically gave the communists a foothold in what would become the third world. Also in our recent flirtation with the US over illegal wars, aside from countless british soldiers dying (yes it is not just a US effort) whilst obama vacilated, exactly what have we gained? Fuck all.

So Sabina take your worldview and stick it up where the sun does not shine. And I am not talking about Alaska.

@Sabina, I really would not worry about this, the prospect of the current US government (or ANY US government for that matter) wanting to bail out England is close to zero. I would suggest you look at your own nation's ills before gloating about the past; we all are aware of the lend lease, but also of how America managed to surpass England by virtue of not fighting two world wars from beginning to end and then dissolving whatever economic power she had at them end of them.

Although, the wheel does turn and if you would like to review your own country’s problems, they are similar to Britain’s in her time as a world power, perhaps worse. For a start, the US has a vast budget deficit, which is being covered by vast investment from abroad (your Chinese friends) and you cannot rely on the dollar being the world's currency of choice forever, by printing your way out of a mess of your own creation or by excessive borrowing because your Congress wants to both cut taxes and spend at the same time (yes I am aware that is what my own country is doing, which will have terrible consequences, but our economy is now miget sized compared to yours and your government’s action affect everyone on the planet- I doubt anyone will notice when England goes up in flames).

But these matters are your affair (or rather your government's) and frankly, I wish you and your government and your people, the best of luck in attempting to solve them and that England must also deal with a myriad of issues herself.

I agree that England is in dire peril and that we may have to beg to get ourselves out of this situation. Perhaps. Or perhaps not. Will the world be prepared to do so?

But, let us pause for a minute and attempt to understand how England got to this current state of affairs. Our nation (England that is) has been infected with a contagious virus called socialism, which has permeated every area of our national life.

And the result is that we are close to liquidation, our currency is more worthless than toilet paper and our armed forces emasculated. In conclusion we are once again the sick man of Europe, on our knees and the beggars of the world. We may not be a nation of the first rank; in fact thanks to the socialists we are not even a nation of the second.

So we may need help. But whilst the debate on the extent to the USA help to our nation is an interesting one, it rather misses the issues of the present. I sincerely doubt that America has the time or inclination to even consider bailing out England, whom appears to be on the second page of the long list of proprieties of the Obama administration (dealing with the 17% unemployment rate, or the Israeli/Arab conflict or trying to keep the Chinese from pulling the plug on the deficit).

Furthermore, I would not expect the EU to be of much help either. France and especially Germany (who are in essence the real power of the EU) will never bailout Britain; there is too much past history here and in any case both countries dismiss our “Anglo Saxon” way of running our economy.

I also doubt if the IMF has the capacity and cash to bail out Britain.

We are therefore on our own.

But, I would say to the British readers of this blog, we should start to rebuild our country and reject the wayward path of the socialist creed. We must rebuild, remind ourselves our of past Christian heritage and of our great island history. The Church of God needs to be reinvigorated with new life.

In the economic sphere,we need to reduce our deficit and reliance on overseas borrowing. If new industries are considered necessary, we must, at any cost build them, if the organisation of our financial system is inadequate we must start rectifying it from now, if need be, our entire economic system must be changed. At present England needs to withdraw from the EU in order to recuperate.

Then we need to keep calm and sit tight, focus on overseas trade and rebuilding our economic capacity, so as to lull suspicions and prejudice nurtured against Britannia; during this time the foundations of economic power must be consolidated; and we must watch and wait for the opportunities in the world which will surely come one day.

When this day arrives, England shall decide her own fate and step forward as a nation of the first rank once again.

As for the view that the EU is responsbile and is a foreign power, well how do you think agreements are made in the EU? The UK government was a party to equality legislation, so don't blame brussels for trying to implement what was already agreed by the various states in the federation.

As for Lord Lavendon, well, we have a strong economy, if he hadn't noticed we roared out of recession yesterday thanks to this government's decisive action; unemployment is a lot lower than in Tory recessions. Thus labour give people nice recessions and the tories horrible and bad ones. just like we will when it comes to tackle the deficit. but now is not the time to start to do this, we need to invest in order to grow. the tories are the do nothing party.

Our economy was and is the best to withstand the current recession and we have now proved this by being the last of the G20 to come out of recession. This is because Gordon and team have also had to help save the rest of the world as well as our own country. Clearly a roaring 0.10% is a good start, but we need more spending of welfare, the NHS and education. I think the bank of england needs to print at least a further £500 billion in order for us to go from strength to socialist strength.

Now we have a multi cultural society, a booming economy and immigration which has enriched us all culturally. The welfare state has expanded, with tax credits for the poorest. And at last a 50% tax on those rich enough to afford to pay for this. And a 50% on bankers outrageous bonuses. No our country is truly great with labour in control. This letter is from an American GI. It reveals how socialists, on both sides of the Atlantic, are undermining our brave boys.

I apologize for the delay in my response. I have been putting in long days ... lately and I hadn’t had the time to put the thought and effort into writing this until now.
Your three-part column series wonderfully analyzes Iraq and reaches the correct strategic assessment that no one in power wants to acknowledge.
I have many things that I want to say but I do not wish to waste your time and I therefore put an executive summary at the beginning of this e-mail so you can skip the expanded version if you wish.
You correctly assessed that we have not gained anything positive from our efforts in Iraq and that the nation is not our ally. (The same is true for Afghanistan.) I will go as far as saying that the Iraqis are our enemies—enemies better equipped to wage jihad against us than they have ever been. We will regret what we have done. We will regret that we created this officially Islamic nation. And we will regret that we created an officially Islamic Afghanistan. We will regret that we have placed ourselves in the service of Islam, waging jihad worldwide as we advance the Religion of Peace and eliminate Christians in the process. (So much for the accusation that the U.S. is on a “Crusade.”) It is a shame that so many people refuse to recognize how horrible Islam is, and that the U.S. made a fatal mistake when it refused to declare war against Afghanistan and Islam—when it refused victory by binding the greatest military force of all time.
The Full Analysis:
Parts 1 and 2 of “The ‘Surge’ and ‘Success’” correctly identify that we have gained nothing positive for our efforts in Iraq while the Iraqis have betrayed us. I do not trust any Iraqi or Middle Easterner. I do not care if anyone calls me a “racist” or “bigot” anymore. Those words have lost their meaning. Do I think that every single Iraqi or Middle Easterner is bad? No. But I think it is difficult to tell. An Iraqi or Middle Easterner will smile to your face or be your best friend one moment, and cut your head off in the next. It is odd that so many people cannot comprehend this. It

is even weirder that those who pride themselves on being “culturally aware” cannot grasp that Middle Eastern culture and thought, and Islamic behavior and thought are completely different than ours (than ours on the Right, at least). Perhaps this ignorance partially explains why the U.S. had no reaction when Maliki declared victory over the U.S. when we moved out of the major Iraqi cities. But even if it is a partial explanation it still is no excuse.
The Iranian War in Iraq is a travesty and has been since it started under Bush. I still cannot believe that a nation can war against us and murder Servicemen, and not pay the price of oblivion for it. Our nation sits back and apologizes, and defends itself constantly from accusations of an “illegal” and “unjust” war yet Iranians, other foreign terrorists, and even Iraqis go about murdering American troops without any consequence whatsoever. We should war back against them. But we won’t.
I remember when people said that we had brought on the September 11 attacks because “we created Bin Laden.” I never understood that. In fact, that we had helped the Afghanis defeat the Soviet Union should have been even more reason for us to kill Bin Laden and destroy Afghanistan. We had saved their lives and they repaid us for it by murdering us on our own soil. Yet our government refused its God-given duty to its people to mete out punishment and justice. History repeats with Iraq. The Iraqis lived under oppression for decades and when we liberated their nation they repaid our unimaginable mercy and sacrifice with betrayal. It is sickening.
Part 3 (“Victory” in Iraq? Really?) perfectly summarized where the U.S. is now in our “war” in Iraq. Once we made Iraq an officially Islamic country I knew that it would become among our worst enemies. (The same is true for Afghanistan.) I said years ago that the end result of our efforts will be that Iraq will be a rebuilt nation better prepared than ever to wage jihad against us. You cannot create an officially Islamic nation and expect anything less. Regrettably, our leaders and our nation cannot identify Islam for what it is: evil. And so we continue our suicidal practice. The Iraqi betrayal of the U.S. started sooner than I expected it but I expected it nonetheless. This is outrageous. Yet the situation is even more unjust than this.
Muslims have waged jihad against the West since their insane, pedophiliac founder started their cult; they have waged jihad against the U.S. since our inception. But what is worse about our policy of

establishing officially Islamic nations and pouring money, technology, weapons, and training into them is that we have been labeled as “occupiers” being on a “Christian crusade to wipe out Islam.” Think about that. We have been demonized as “occupying Christian crusaders” (if only!) even as we have waged jihad in the service of Islam, helped Muslims spread Islam and wipe out Christians, and died for ungrateful Iraqis even as terrorists from all over the war invaded and occupied Iraq, and slaughtered and oppressed Iraqis. (And don’t even get me started on the fact that we—the United States of America—are truly being invaded and occupied by illegal aliens warring on us!)
I am woefully understating the situation when I say that the U.S. has no clue how to fight wars any longer. We have allowed our enemies to control this war and make it one of media and information—information warfare / information operations . We have chosen not to win by refusing to reject the enemies’ preferred warfare; we have chosen not to wage a kinetic warfare where we could easily defeat our enemies in months if not weeks with our superior technology, tactics, and Servicemen. And through it all we seem not the least bit embarrassed that a “coalition” of dozens of nations cannot beat a primitive bunch of troglodytes. I no longer can express my outrage about this or any of the myriad horrors which plague our once great land. Every day there is something new which is more perverse and inequitable than the last day’s wickedness. I sit here in Iraq and do all I can do to stomach the disastrous excuse that passes for “strategy” in this war—a strategy where our leaders openly say that the lives of our Islamic enemies are worth more than ours; a “strategy” where the Army Chief of Staff openly states that the “death of diversity” would be a larger tragedy than the slaughter of Soldiers (and get away with it with but a whisper of outcry from the American people). I pray that I get out of here alive so I can complete my Army contract and get away from this nonsense and betrayal.
Two final things.
First, I wonder how many people have considered how successful the September 11, 2001 Islamic attacks were. Think about what they accomplished. They thrust Islam to the center of the world; they undoubtedly caused more people to learn about Islam than would have prior to their attacks. And the attacks combined with the near non-response of the U.S. doubtlessly gained them converts. Furthermore, what response the United States did produce resulted in the

establishment, enrichment, and training of the officially Islamic nations of Iraq and Afghanistan, and the enrichment and training of countless other Muslim nations around the globe. Islam now stands better suited than ever to wage jihad across the world. The September 11 attacks also resulted in Muslims being portrayed as victims around the world (thanks to their leftist allies) and helped them (again, with an assist from their leftist allies) advance their jihad even as Muslims and leftists further vilified Christianity, America, and Western values. And finally the crowning achievement of the September 11 Islamic attacks: eight years after them the United States places as its leader a person whom can at best be described as an anti-American, racist, Islamic sympathizer (and who has the same name as an infamous Islamic dictator). This is stunning. It is bizarre. It is incomprehensible. Yet it is our nightmarish reality. The Islamic attacks on September 11, 2001 achieved success beyond the wildest dreams of the Religion of Peace cultists.
Finally, I would like you to know that I am willing to comment on other posts and articles that you publish, including some of your other posts that mention the debate that your three-part column on the Surge started. I am willing to comment for two reasons.
The first reason is that everyone on the Right needs to fight back against the Islamic War on the West and stop the jihad. And one of the ways to fight back is to speak out against it. The second reason is that I want to establish for posterity that I am firmly against this evil and every other evil. I will explain why this matters.
Leftists always rewrite history so as to demonize what is Right and so as to cover their real nature. They abhor the truth as much as the vilest of Muslims. And as a way to enable their rewriting of history they use political correctness to silence opponents; to vilify them so that they have no place in society. We have allowed leftists to use political correctness to emasculate us. In fact, political correctness is the leftist weapon of choice in paralyzing the Right and aiding their Islamic allies who also advance an anti-Christian, anti-Foundational America agenda. Political correctness is what prevents us from fighting back against the left, and what prevents us from fully fighting back against the jihad and ending the Islamic threat. Political correctness makes us acquiesce to the left so as to be “moderate” and “bipartisan.” Our capitulation to the left will doom us physically by allowing the Muslims and left to eliminate the last vestiges of the West and it will doom us historically as our enslaved descendants will look back

and ask how we could have allowed the twin insanities of Islam and the left to control and destroy us when we easily could have defeated them both. Our descendants will condemn us for remaining idle in the face of evil . . . and the leftists of the future will use our submission and our descendants’ condemnation to manipulate history and blame us as the originators of the horrific agenda that they instituted. The future left will use our sinful surrender to pave the way for them to control and destroy civilization once more (all in the name of “progressivism” of course).
I do not want leftists to be able to do this. I do not want them to easily rewrite history in the future. I want to be a loud voice (wherever I may be) that opposes everything Islam and the left want. I want there to be no doubt that I, a Right-wing Christian, utterly reject them and their core beliefs. I want to make it all but impossible for future leftists to say that, “It was the Christian Right who enabled and supported the worldwide jihad (not to mention the global warming hoax, the sexual perverts, and the freedom hating communists)! It was the Christian Right who wanted them to take over and destroy the world!” I want to make it all but impossible for future leftists to say that atheists, humanists, and secularists (like Bruce Bawer, Christopher Hitchens, Tammy Bruce, and a few others) tried to oppose the Islamic War on the West but “could not convince the mentally inferior but numerically superior Right-wing Christians to join them!” I want to counteract the in-name-only Christians and conservatives who have bought into the “Religion of Peace” and leftist nonsense, and who will do untold additional amounts of damage to civilization and our good name with their cravenness and rejection of Truth. And that is why I am willing to comment on more of your posts.
I know I am in the minority with my beliefs but I do not care. I want to be like the 300—not just the ones who fought at Thermopylae—but the 300 who fought with Gideon against the Midianites. I want to stand for the Truth.

Keep up the good work.

The Foreign Secretary, the atheist David Milliband, seems to have doubts; that may be why he has sent his child to a faith school. But that begs the question: why do socialists still continue with a discredited doctrine? A doctrine that has not only collapsed at the theoretical level but one that has also been tested to destruction in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In my view the Catholic philosopher, Michael Novak, diagnosed their mental health problem correctly:

"One of the most outstanding characteristics of our age is that ideas, even false and unworkable ideas, even ideas which are no longer believed in by their official guardians, rule the affairs of men and ride roughshod over stubborn facts. Ideas of enormous destructiveness, cruelty, and impracticality retain the allegiance of elites that benefit from them. The empirical record seems not to jut through into consciousness to break their spell. The class of persons who earn their livelihood from the making of ideas and symbols seems both unusually bewitched by falsehoods and absurdities and uniquely empowered to impose them on hapless individuals."

Your Grace

An alliance with Islam would be a fatal error for the Christian churches. Pope Benedict possesses a first-class mind and is a theologian with few, if any rivals. His Regensburg Address was a modern attempt to draw a distinction between Islam and Christianity and predictably aroused the fury of the Islamists. Benedict quoted the Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologos who famously said "Show me just what Mahommed brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman". This was in 1392 and nothing has changed.

John Quincy Adams, diplomat and sixth president of the United States had an equally profound understanding of Islam. He wrote, "In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar (mohammed), the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent god; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE...Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant...While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon the earth, and good will towards men".

Would that the current president of the United States could bring himself to repeat those words.

Anyway, once again, nothing has changed other than that this wisdom is ignored by western secularists and socialists. These fools do not understand that if Islam triumphs in the West their freedom even to talk about their sterile beliefs will be denied.

They will live in Dhimmitude, like the remaining Christians.

Sadly their conceit is such that this is beyond their imagining and their understanding.

Your Grace, I am surprised that you even entertain the thought of bringing Islam into the British power structure. See the uncomfortable words of Abdullah @ 10.17 if you doubt me.

Funnily enough taking that quote out of context it could quite easily apply to religion, oh the irony.

Dear not a machine

Regarding your comment on the 28 January 2010 01:51

I will try as briefly as I can.

Muslims believe in Jesus (peace be upon him):

“ Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)." (The Holy Quran, 3: 84)

In his miraculous birth:

God created Jesus (peace be upon him) as a sign for mankind.

“And We made the son of mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs.” (The Holy Quran, 23: 50)

“Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.” (The Holy Quran , 3:45)

Muslims believe in the miracles which he performed with God’s permission. And Among his miracles in the Quran that he was given by God, was to be able to talk already as a baby in the cradle, and speaking in defence of his mother Mary, when she was faced with false accusations. God taught him the torah and the Gospel. Jesus (peace be upon him) displayed knowledge and wisdom, and was sent for the children of Israel.

“Then will Allah say: "O jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the the Taurat and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'” (The Holy Quran, 5: 110)

However, Muslims believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was not crucified but rather, God raised him up to heaven to himself, saving him from the intended crucifixion. Jesus (peace be upon him) characteristics were put over another man, and that man was crucified instead.

“That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not”( The Holy Quran, 4:157)

“Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise” (The Holy Quran, 4:158)

Jesus (peace be upon him) the messiah, will return before the end of times.

“And (Jesus) shall be a sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.”
(The Holy Quran , 43:61)

His return will be one of the major signs which will occur, other signs will include the emergence of the anti-christ or “dajjal” whom Jesus will confront and defeat, and after he will rule for a period of peace and prosperity.

Muslims also believe that God has no sons, daughters or associates.

“Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.” (The Holy Quran , 112: 1-4)

Jesus (peace be upon him) called for the worship of the one and only God of the Ten Commandments: “I am the Lord, your God.... you shall have no other gods before me, or in Hosea 13:4: “I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt: you know no god but Me, and besides Me there is no saviour”. In addition, in Matthew 5:17-19 “Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them”.

“And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad (the praised one)." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!" (The Holy Quran, 61:6)

Absolute gibberish.

Mr Glovner,

This furnishes us with an additional example of your incoherent gibberish:

‘Funnily enough taking that quote out of context it could quite easily apply to religion, oh the irony.’

It could not be ironic – given that you have admitted it would be taken out of context.

Do you not know the meaning of what you write? Or, are you writing from a darkened cell in Bedlam?

P.S. Nice to see that I've improved your vocabulary ('gibberish'!)

Nope, it could still be taken as ironic if the context is not known.

The only reason I (or anyone else) know the context is beacause of your preceding paragraphs.

Being that it is being made by a religious person to slag off something for the faults that religion also shows on a daily basis.

Just like the regular hypocrisy that religion also shows, which you continually back up with your "christian" acts.

Go on give me some more of your patronising wit by quoting someone else. Either that or just call me a kid tell me to go the Guardian and tell me I am a socialist.

'Nope, it could still be taken as ironic if the context is not known.'

So you are prepared to cheat, mislead and lie (without quoting your source (Novak, 1991)) to your readers.

That is logically consistent with your subjective position.

Such is the mentality and the conditioning of its people however, most of them still think like you. Please, dig and read, dig and read! Don't go off history books and college professors:0) you'll learn a lot more.

Sabina forgets that lend lease was abruptly ended after the war, thus causing britions countless hardships. Forgetting as well that Britain was bled dry during both world wars until the Yanks came into it, hence why they were the major winners of both conflicts. Yes, british history is taught in schools. Churchill is a nation hero. But at least we never arrive late to the party.

Sabina needs to understand that they should hope the chinks are more generous to the yanks than they ever were to england. The yanks were ruthless in their dealings with England over loans etc, especially after the two world wars. If the Chinks are like the americans than america will be well and truly fucked.

At least you admit it ; you are simple. Printing money over a long period of time leads to hyper inflation. So if you want to carry your wages in a wheelbarrow and if you want said way of carting your cash around to be worth more than the cash, vote Socialist at the next general election! And hope that the government has enough money to print out ration books!

To allow the marxists to continue to hold power in what was once a great nation is to allow this nation to sink into the abyss. God help us all.

Socialism= the anti christ.

So why does YG support a political party which wants to remain in this whorehouse?

Mr Glovner, a bit of reverse psychology,

The story is told of the Atheist who accosted a preacher. "Do you believe in eternal life?" The preacher has no time to reply. "Well its a load of rubbish!" shouted the Atheist. "I believe in science, evolution, survival of the fittest, and when we die, that's it! No eternal life, no great judgement, and no God!" The Atheist continues his assault against the preacher repetitiously and tirelessly. "Eternal life! Eternal life! Ha! "Its all pie in the sky when you die." When I die that's it, the end, no eternal life, no nothing. He continues, until he reaches his climax, "I will be buried six feet under when I die and that's it! Nothing! Caput! When I die I am utterly convinced that that will be the end of me!" "Well thank God for that" replies the preacher!

Your point?

If I am preached what I believe to be nonsense should I just have to sit and listen? Should I be happy that I pay for them to preach what I believe to be nonsense? Should I be happy that they are given special rights that are not given to people who share the same lack of belief in their unprovable imaginary friend as me? Should I be happy that they are given access to the people that write policy and law so that what they believe I am forced to follow?

Or should I disagree with this and say what I believe?

Are we all equal with an equal right to speak our mind? Or do you believe that some are more equal than others?

I actually completely forgot to point out at the time how this also demonstrates you hypocritical actions quite well.

While you are quick to pull me up on setting out the context before quoting a source you are more than happy, and have done so on many occasions, to quote sections of what I say, completely out of context without the decency to even take the entire sentence or paragraph (never mind even laying out the correct context).

You pick, choose and only quote what benefits your argument, but then you have the audacity to pull me up on not supplying the full quote and source?

Oh the irony.

Anne- socialism will save britian as it is now doing so. only if you vote tory will the uk not be saved.

I will not be voting for any of the three major political Parties at all, I will be voting for UKIP this time round because I want out of the EU. If we are to have our own Government AND PAY THEM they must earn their money by actually making ALL our laws.

If they continue to incorporate foreign laws, which is strictly contrary to the Oath made by our Queen at her Coronation, I have no option left except to instigate Clause 61 Magna Carta. I certainly cannot allow my taxes to go to, or contribute to a foreign organisation or power that wants to Govern all the people-including our Government and full Houses of parliament-forever.

It was socialism that ratified the Treaty of Lisbon against the known wishes of the vast majority of people. It was the Conservatives that ratified the Treaty of Rome.
