One Last Christmas

Quite a few have asked why His Grace is remotely bothered who is ‘Top of Pops’ at Christmas: why raise money for Alzheimer’s Research by promoting Cliff Richard’s ‘Little Town’? Why create an open goal for The Guardian's predictable ball of scorn?

This video says it all.

It tells the story of a two year-old leukaemia patient named Dax Locke who inspired people all over the country to decorate early for Christmas before he passed away in December 2009.

And it would have been a much worthier Christmas No1 that Matt Cardle’s appalling cover which is enriching no-one more than Sir Simon Cowell (as he will be in the New Year).

It’s Christmas.

Do something for somebody else.

God Bless this couragous child and welcome him with open arms arms into His Kingdom.

All politics aside, who really cares such trivial matters as the Christmas #1 and Simon Cowell?

What do these things matter as his parents face the awful grief of losing a child they so dearly love?

May Our Lord comfort in them in their loss and grief and cry the tears He cried for His friend Lazarus.

I don't need to wait for Christmas to do something for sombody else, Your Grace. I support the local hospice and MacMillan Nurses all year round. To paraphrase, helping people is for life, not just for Christmas.

Seasons greetings to you and yours, Your Grace. I expect to enjoy an interesting New Year courtesy of your inimitable religio-political erudition.

... but Christmas is surely the best of times for us to begin exercising those 'Christian' tenents of charity, kindness, responsibility and modesty, even; which we hope we may carry throughout the year.

God-bless us one and all!

As a general rule charity is one of the most corrupting influences known to mankind. This for several reasons, most of which are self-evident.

I have much experience with regards to collecting cash for large charities.

To cut a long story short, the largest donations came from the largest CROOKS, for want of a more inclusive word for them. It would seem that the easier it comes, the easier it is to give away, what is a relatively very small part of their ill gotten gains.

Charity was in the past, as it is today a method by which our high criminal, as well as our ruling classes hope to find favor with their peculiar understanding of God. Charity seems to be very important for these people in particular, I should image because they perform so much profound evil during their daily lives.

Giving of yourself freely to your fellow citizen, should be seen as a perfectly normal thing to be doing.

Not because you feel yourself to be sacrificing in any way, but simply because doing so is as good for your own personal development as a fully conscious human being, as it is for the person receiving your assistance.

For surely if we committed no, or at least far less evil, we would hardly need any charity's at all in the first place.

Charity should never be, but far too often is, is a method by which we seek to lessen our responsibility for the evil we do. Or indeed the good we do not bother doing, mainly because we are so busy working to simply pay taxes, while also feeding ourselves, we no longer have the time or energy to do much more then sleep.

As conservatives, we should understand that if we looked after ourselves first, and then all of those that immediately surround us, the entire world, as well as our particular part of it, would be a very much better place then it currently is.

The last possible thing we should ever do is give any of our surplus wealth to the government to sort out anything more then the pluming.

For the ruling class, their governments, as well as their large established religions and charities are undoubtedly the work of the devil. Who not only long since enriched themselves on the publics falsely created quilt complexes, they have no real interest in solving the problems that they themselves very much helped to create.

Governments have a well recorded habit of spending our highly taxed incomes on poverty creating highly murderous wars, bribing, or indeed installing 3rd world dictatorships, or simply paying trillions in interest to their beloved central banksters, then they do paying for things such as health services for us, or useful infrastructure for the ordinary people of the 3rd world.

Established religions, have historically spent the lions share of their donations on palaces, property portfolios, subversively interfering in national and pan-national politics, and creating ever larger gold reserves, to be held in their very own banks and/or Swiss ones.

All major charities spend more on themselves, and advertising same, then they ever intended to give to their particular causes.

However, smuggling away the proceeds is often better then what they would have done with it otherwise.

In many ways training people to rely on charity for their very living, either as an employee or as a receiver, is one of the most tried and tested methods of first controlling and then effectively killing off both of them.

We should not only be careful, as to what we ask of God, for indeed he may give it to us.

We must be every bit as careful to whom we give our charity, and why we do so. Lest we forget to conduct our lives in the correct fashion, while the cash is spent on deliberately producing far more problems then they were ever intended to solve.

Merry Christmas Your Grace !

I think of Christmases past when families wondered if their family would ever come together again...or mourned....probably because I was listening to I'll Be Home for Christmas and wondered how many never came home....

A Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year Your Grace.

Seasons greetings to all who contribute to lively debate on current issues addressed by HG.

May we all remember in our prayers our brave armed forces, who are currently seperated from their families whilst serving abroad during this special time and facing untold dangers daily for us, irrespective of political whim..THEY DO IT FOR US!

We owe them more than we may ever fully know.

So Says KINGOFHIGHCS

Atlas shrugged is spot on, I do feel charity has become a Corporate begging industry that spends more money on advertizing than it does on doing any good.

Even to the point of sending heart rending photos to con the elderly into making their last will and testaments over to these sneaky beggers.

Something done in the spare of the moment up close and personal is much more genuine.

Was John Humphrys drugged out this morning on Today ? He ragged on the Catholich Archbishop in Birmingham ad nauseam about condoms and homosexuality - it was the occasion of The Pope's broadcast on Thought for the Day. He even went on about Abortion at Christmas !!!

Yet Humphrys never once suggested homosexuals should use condoms, nor when the BBC will show a programme on Abortion warts and all.

The behaviour of Humphrys was harassment and suggests the old fool is completely senile and obsessional. It is time he was retired to a care home. He is of such limited intellect and way out of his depth

The principle of giving is an important one.
God gave his only son.
Jesus gave his life as a ransom for sinners.

The Apostle Paul said "Without charity, I am nothing" and "I gain nothing." "So faith, hope, and charity abide, these three. But the greatest of these is charity" (1 Cor 13:1-13).

Charity in the Christian sense is also called love.

Len, thank you for that! You could not have been more succinct.

...and as we all know, 'charity' is much, much more than the giving of alms alone.

Godbless and keep you, Len.

Humphrys has, for several years now, been a 'spent force'.

Indeed, I have my doubts as to whether he was ever the man we thought him to be; all tonal-quality, but as you say, no intellect.
