His Grace would also like to mention en passant that he celebrated his 5th birthday last month. He wasn't going to say anything at all, but April was a spectacular month for him and today, being St George's Day (postponed because of Holy Week), seems an opportune moment to point out that in 5 years this blog has attracted more than 2 million visitors from just about every nation in the world. His Grace usually trundles along with around 3,000 visitors a day. But his coverage of the Royal Wedding (principally here and here) resulted in a record-breaking day:

An outstanding week:

And a very good month:

His Grace was especially delighted that he made the top slot on Sky News:

...and that his articles were highly praised in the UK by inter alia The Spectator Coffee House, while The Telegraph mocked him for turning the wedding into a séance. So His Grace politely reminded them that it was they who first alluded to the ghost of Diana being omnipresent, which shut Mr Wynne-Jones right up.

His Grace’s coverage of the Royal Wedding also went global, appreciated in Australia by ABC, and in the US by The National Review Online.

His Grace would like to thank all of his faithful readers and loyal communicants for their part in this remarkable achievement, and he thanks God for His mercies which are undoubtedly new every morning, even when His Grace doesn’t have a clue what he’s going to write about.

I know Diana was present. She was tweeting throughout the day.

Oh , if you are stuck for inspiration , just pretend you're driving in Europe - and keep going on The Right ! :-).

Congratulations , YG and WELL DONE for annoying a lot of left-whingers.
(No , that is not a mis-spelling).

Amen, and well done for showing the decent, erudite and deep side of Anglicanism.

Congratulations Your Grace;

May you continue well and long to produce thought provoking articles for your humble(and not so humble) communicants.

My congratulations for coming 11th, but quite frankly this forum should be much higher, indeed on your own well researched content, and independent opinion alone, this blog should be a clear No 1.

Your intellectual powers tower above others, like a mighty mountain among insignificant rocks.

My only problem is that you ask many of the right sorts of questions, but rarely attempt to propose any useful answers to them.

Maybe this is just a matter of personal style, or a highly natural sense of self preservation. However whatever the reason is, please feel completely free to carry on as before, if this be your will, as all seems to be working just fine as it is.

Is it really 5 yrs ! Whilst stats perhaps do make a smile possible in the competative bloggsphere ,your grace needs no reminder that his learned presence as both illuminated and inspired ,the christian faith on many occasions .
I wouldnt care one jot if only 50 inhabited this blog , for it is a beacon/transmitter of some things that cannot be bought .

I thank both his grace and all his stats for a most interesting journey .

Congrats Cranmer. Great to see you getting the recognition you deserve. Especially gratifying I suspect considering your prolonged absence not so long back, and given the fact that the so many of the other top blogs are well-funded team efforts. Cream always rises to the top.

The most puzzling thing of course is why Iain Dale's blog gets any traffic at all.

And many happy returns btw.

A well deserved success, Your Grace. Congratulations.

Your blog shows how one man can become globally influential, via the internet. In your case as a force for everything that is good.

Eternal life to your ashes!

Congratulations YG and well deserved. Always impeccably written posts that provide a great deal of cerebral grist whether one agrees with you or not. Glad you decided to carry on with your mission.

Isn't YG full of yourself, somewhat, regarding these visitor figures? Head getting a bit large? (its only sour grapes on my part; my figures are so much lower - still, my site's new facelift - due any day now - should help a bit).
